Future of Photoshop!

Those of you that's keeping up with the Adobe programs probably know that CS6 is being released soon. This version will not only improve the photo editing tools, but it will also have video editing tools. CS6 will also feature several more Content-Aware Tools like the Content-Aware Patch and the Content-Aware Move Tools. The Video editing tools will be sort of like a simpler Adobe Premier, with some of the same tools. You will also be allowed to edit the videos in layers and you can also export the video in a few of the more popular formats.

Something helpful that has been changed with the layers is that you can now search for a layer by the effects that you used on it, this makes it easier to find layers that are similar to others but that has different effects. Another thing that concerns the layers is that it is now possible to clip layers in groups. Some problems that occured in CS5 has also been fixed, like the copying from Illustrator issue as well as the wonky 90 degree rotation problem.

These are only a few of the many great changes that has been made by CS6, to check out the rest you can go look at http://bjango.com/articles/photoshopcs6/.

Photo Editing

The tools that Photoshop is known for is the photo editing tools. This includes the Healing Brush and Spot Healing Brush Tools, Patch Tool, Red Eye Tool as well as the Clone Stamp and Pattern Stamp Tools.
These tools can all be used to change things in a photo that you are unhappy with. For example the Red Eye Tool removes the red eye effect in photo's (that is kind of obvious). Clone Stamp is used when there is a part of the photo that contains something (usually something small) that should not be there and that you want to remove. By using a part of the photo that has a similar background to the place where the 'something' is, you can clone the background and cover the blemish.
